Social Media Intern
Role: Social Media Intern
Time Commitment: ~20 hours/week
Location: Hybrid, in-office 1-2 days/week (as needed) in Downtown Chicago
Start Date: August 2026
End Date: December 2026 (extend based on performance)
Stipend: $2,500 for the quarter (possibility to adjust to reflect exact on start date in office)
Responsibilities
Internal Social Media Management:
Edit short-form video content for internal projects using CapCut and static content for internal projects using Canva
Write captions for internal social media content
Manage posting for internal social media accounts
Monitor and respond to comments and DMs across internal social channels
Create on-brand social graphics using Canva
Assist with CEO Christy Lee's personal social media account management
Client Content Support:
Edit short-form video content for client projects using CapCut
Edit static content for client projects using Canva
Write captions/copy for client social content
Communications:
Monitor brand email inboxes and respond to inquiries in a timely, professional manner
Production & Events:
Provide on-camera support for internal (Seventh House brand) and external (client) content as needed
Assist with client photoshoots and events, including shot list and prop prep, setup/breakdown on shoot days, and packing/shipping client materials
Support in production of Seventh House Coffee Club events
Organization:
Keep internal and client files organized and up to date

Skills & Tools:
Experience editing video in CapCut to produce polished, social-optimized content
Experience designing in Canva to create visually consistent, on-brand graphics
Proficient in Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Docs)
Comfortable on camera
Strong grasp of the social media landscape, including trends and content opportunities
