Part-Time Marketing Assistant
Role: Part-Time Marketing Assistant
Time Commitment: ~20 hours/week
Location: Hybrid, in-office 1-2 days/week (as needed) in Downtown Chicago
Start Date: August 2026
End Date: December 2026 (possibility for full-time offer based on performance)
Pay: $22/hr
Responsibilities
Internal Content Support:
Edit short-form video content for internal projects using CapCut and static content for internal projects using Canva
Write captions and copy for internal social media content
(Note: does not include posting, comment/DM monitoring, or platform management)
Client Content Support:
Serve as a priority focus area: Edit short-form video content for client projects using CapCut and static content for client projects using Canva
Write captions/copy for client social content
Strategy & Concepting:
Contribute to creative concepting for client and internal projects
Play a larger role in supporting overall project strategy and goals, beyond execution alone
Communications & Admin Support:
Provide flexible support monitoring brand email inboxes and responding to inquiries as needed
Production & Events:
Provide on-camera support for internal (Seventh House brand) and external (client) content as needed, including at client photoshoots
Assist with client photoshoots and events, including shot list and prop prep, setup/breakdown on shoot days, and packing/shipping client materials
Support in production of Seventh House Coffee Club events
Organization:
Keep internal and client files organized and up to date

Strategic thinker who can connect the dots on project goals — able to look at a creative brief and figure out how to execute it

Skills & Tools:
Experience editing video in CapCut to produce polished, social-optimized content
Experience designing in Canva to create visually consistent, on-brand graphics
Proficient in Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Docs)
Comfortable on camera
Strong grasp of the social media landscape, including trends and content opportunities
Project Management:
Able to project manage with an eye toward ROI and impact
Strong multitasker who stays productive working independently or as part of a team
Skilled at juggling multiple clients and projects simultaneously and is able to successfully manage several moving pieces at once, not just multitask across them
